Today in History: The Beginning of WWIII

Three hundred and twenty-five years ago today (on April 7, 2050), the new Chinese premier on Earth, Zien Mai, traveled to India in order to hold bilateral meetings with Indian Prime Minister Khan Noonian Singh. Despite the China-India tensions, both national leaders acknowledged the importance of cooperation for the sake of regional stability and economic development.

Unfortunately, before the meeting could take place, an anti-China Indian radical managed to assassinate Premier Zian Mai. As soon as word reached China, anger swelled, and the Chinese government declared immediate war upon India. Historians later pointed to this event as the spark that ignited World War III.
